Thousands of demonstrators gathered at the Boston Common on Saturday to advocate for women’s rights and protest the direction of the country. Greeted by cold weather and a smattering of counter protestors, the women and their allies also marched for issues including immigrant and LBGTQ rights, as well as to promote love and acceptance over bigotry and racism. They weren’t alone. For the third year in a row, the Women’s March was held in cities around the country, including New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, San Francisco and Philadelphia.
