Rain didn’t stop Massachusetts voters from turning up at the polls Tuesday for the 2018 midterm elections — about 2.4 million voters cast ballots across the state.
Despite some upsets across the country, there were few surprises in Massachusetts. Voters handed landslide reelection victories to Republican Governor Charlie Baker and Democratic U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren. Democrats also won every other major statewide race and swept all nine of the Commonwealth’s House seats.
The state’s blue delegation will now head to Washington, joining the majority party in the House and a diminished minority in the Senate.
